Day #2: For those who have wanted to obtain a dementia-care credential, this is the training you’ve been waiting for!!  Friday, October 21st, will offer the 8-hour training course developed by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, “Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care.” This is the required class for those interested in becoming Certified Dementia Practitioners and it provides a thorough overview of the disease process from first symptoms through behavior challenges through end-of-life care.

Most long-term care employees, including Administrators, Nurses, Nurse Aide, Social Workers, and Activities & TR Professionals with long-term care experience MEET the NCCDP qualifications for certification; see www.NCCDP.org for more information!

This session is the first step towards CDP certification; the second step is submitting your CDP application to the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. While there is an additional application fee, attendees of this conference day will receive a $100 discount (you’ll pay just $36!) off the regular application fee!!!
